Dr. Tatjana Vukelić holds the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka, Croatia. She teaches English Language and Literature as well as Russian Language and Literature. Dr. Vukelić earned her PhD from the University of Rijeka, with a doctoral thesis titled Race, Gender, and Sex Discrimination of Black Women in the Literary Works of African American Women Writers. Her research focuses on African American culture, tradition, and literature. She is the author of a recently published book titled The Scars of Black America and has published numerous scientific articles in both English and Russian, in Croatia and abroad. Dr. Vukelić has also delivered presentations and lectures on her research throughout Croatia and Europe.
