Dr. Cristina Gomes is a PhD in Population and Development. Researcher at Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences, FLACSO Mexico. She has worked as Regional Advisor at the UN Population Fund -UNFPA, and as evaluator of social policies for the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Development in Brazil, as well as for the Cash Transfer Program Oportunidades in Mexico. Her areas of specialization include poverty, inequalities, discrimination, racism, family, institutions and social policies. She has received the recognition of Who is Who in the World in 2012 and she is currently in the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science, Technology and Humanities of Mexico.
